Litigation is a series of battles. Just because you lose your case and are ordered to pay your opponents damages, it does not automatically follow that:-
1) You have to pay your opponents costs
2) That you have to pay your own lawyers fees
3) That you cannot look to your own lawyer for damages

- Seeing if it was your fault or your solicitors fault that you lost.

- Looking at how your case was financed, and was that the best option for you.
- Looking at how your solicitor protected you against paying your opponents costs.
- Looking at how your solicitor entered into the solicitors costing agreement with you. Has he gone through all the regulations as detailed by the solicitors professional rules.
- Considered if you selected the right expert and if not was that the reason you lost.
