Keith Park Solicitors working in conjunction with a preferred team of fully qualified and accredited energy assessors can arrange to have an inspection of your home carried out and a certificate issued. At a cost of £45 (inclusive of VAT).
An Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) is required for every property that is placed on the market for sale.
The EPC aims to increase confidence in the sale process from the start as consumers will now have more of the facts upfront when buying a home on its energy efficiency.
The Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) will tell home buyers and sellers about a home’s energy efficiency – using A to G ratings, like those used to rate fridges and washing machines. The certificate will also make recommendations for cost-effective improvements that can be made to help possibly cut fuel bills and carbon emissions.
We at KPS Solicitors are able to arrange for your EPC to be prepared via our preferred EPC Provider. As soon as we receive your instructions and confirmation of how you wish to pay for the service, we are then able to instruct the EPC to be prepared.
You will be contacted by the EPC Provider who will collate the information they need to prepare the EPC and will arrange directly with you an appointment for the Energy Assessor to attend at your property to enable the Energy Performance Certificate to be issued.
Once completed, then the EPC Provider will arrange to electronically send your certificate to both us as your Solicitor and also your Estate Agent so that it can be annexed to their sales literature to assist in the future sale of your home. We use the latest technology systems to manage the production of your EPC as efficiently as possible.
