Employment Tribuals

Have you ever…

  • received a claim against you (an ET1) from an employee?
  • been sued by an employee in the past?

If the answer to either of these questions is yes, you will know how time consuming, costly, and most of all, distressing these claims can be.

At Keith Park Solicitors, we can provide you with a full range service dealing with initial advice on the merits of the claim through to representation at the Employment Tribunal. The choice is entirely yours as to how involved you want us to be.

However, should you require us to handle your case entirely, we will provide you with a full estimate of costs and find the best way of funding for your needs.

Company Policies

Do you have company policies in place that protect you, for example, against misuse of communication systems?

We can review your policies or draft new ones to give you added protection for your business.

Contracts of Employment

Are your contracts of employment compliant with current legislation? Are your contracts protecting your business effectively? Do you even have contracts of employment in place?

You are required by law to provide your employees with a Statement of main Terms and Conditions within 8 weeks of their starting employment with you. If you do not comply with this, you leave yourself open to claims to the Employment Tribunal by your employees.

At KPS, we can review your contracts of employment and advise you as to whether they are compliant with current legislation. If they are not, we can assist in re-drafting them, to ensure that they are.

If you do not have contracts of employment in place, we can draft contracts to suit your individual business needs.

HR Reviews

If you feel that your business needs more attention than advice and assistance, we can provide you with a locum HR / Employment Manager.

Our locum will spend time within your business, review your policies and procedures, your work practices and advise and assist you in making your business legislation compliant, and thus more efficient and profitable
