Our Fees

You need a properly qualified and experienced representative looking after you and, as you would expect, you get what you pay for.

For adcice on how to apply for Legal representation you should contact us.

To obtain legal aid you need to satisfy both a merits and a means test.

This means you must show them that it is serious enough to warrant legal aid and that you cannot afford to contribute to the cost yourself. For many motoring cases  Legal Aid is not usually available.

If you do not qualify for Legal Aid, we will agree a fixed fee with you so that you know exactly how much the case is going to cost.

Free advice: We offer a 30-minute 'no strings' initial free interview in respect of any criminal matter.

Making an appointment:  We are open 9am to 5.30pm, Monday to Friday and can see you at other times by arrangement.

We operate a 24 hour help line to assist day and night.

Emergencies: we will always try to see you immediately in an emergency.

How Legal Aid Works

Legal Aid has been subject to many changes in the last two years.

Representation at the Police Station

The Custody Sergeant must arrange to be given legal representation over the phone or in person, you will not be charged for this service.

Representation in the Police Station

In the Magistrates Court, there is a two-stage test for whether a person qualifies for Legal Aid (Can you change to Representation). Both stages must be passed, or Legal Aid (Represenation) will not be given.

It is both means and merit tested if you are working you will need to produce evidence of pay slips and any other income. Not all offences qualify and the court will access if the offence that you charged with should be subject to a representation order
